Susan Curtis-Villar
Partner
An Integral part of the local business community and a graduate of University of Guelph, Susan launched her practice in 1992 and has gained priceless experience with a variety of different client types.
With over 20 years of experience as a practicing CPA, CA, she has become the trusted advisor to numerous successful clients. Whether you are a sole proprietor, owner-manager, shareholder of a corporation or looking for personal tax advice Susan is here to help you. Susan will walk you through the steps to make transition as smooth as possible.
Susan provides a wide range of business advisory services to clients, helping them to address potential problems before they become problems, and working with entrepreneurs to help them build better, more valuable, businesses. A key difference in Susan’s approach is that she wants you to understand your business and options. Susan will explain the options in a way that makes sense to you and assist you in coming to the conclusion that is best for you.
Outside of the office, Susan has held the position of treasurer as well as president with the Guelph Kiwanis Club. While her daughters were swimming she earned her master swim official with Swim Ontario officiating events at the local, provincial and national levels.

Partner
Lori graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. She joined Curtis-Villar in 2004 and earned her CA designation in 2006 and became a partner in 2015. She has her In-Depth tax certification which is designed for the more complex tax issues that our clients experience.
As Lori provides accounting, tax and business advisory services for businesses and individuals her goal is to help her clients understand the process. Her clients appreciate that she has a non-judgmental approach to her work and explains the different options in a way that makes sense to them. Lori has been involved in the community in numerous ways. She is the past treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Guelph’s satellite club, as well as the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.

Victoria Curtis
Partner
Victoria is a graduate of Dalhousie University’s Bachelor of Commerce program. She joined the team at Curtis-Villar in 2010 and successfully completed her CA exams in 2013.
When it comes to technology solutions for our clients, Victoria is the individual to reach out to. She is up-to-date on the current accounting solutions available as well as industry specific applications that are compatible with each accounting platform. Victoria works closely with our clients as they implement their accounting systems, as well as when they transition from one platform to another.
She assists clients in making decisions as to which programs are being for their specific needs and in identifying when clients have outgrown their current accounting systems.
Victoria’s community involvement has ranged from volunteering with Junior Achievement Guelph-Wellington Economics for Success program and acting as the treasurer and then president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.

Eleanor came to Curtis-Villar as an 8-month co-op student in the fall of 2012. After completing her degree at Conestoga College, she joined the firm full-time in January 2014.

Barbara Domenichini
Bookkeeping Specialist
Barb has been with Curtis-Villar since 2000 and is our senior bookkeeping specialist. Barb earned her Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation in 2015 and assists our team with all payroll related queries.
In addition to this, she oversees the firm’s bookkeeping clients and assists them with a variety of needs. Barb is the main contact for our bookkeeping clients and provides them with a range of services from monthly/quarterly reporting, payroll, preparation of government remittance to bookkeeping training.

In her current role, Sandra plays a vital role in assisting new clients during their transition to Curtis-Villar, ensuring a seamless integration and updating their accounting systems. Her exceptional skills in this area have made her a sought-after resource, with clients frequently asking for her assistance even after completing the onboarding process.
Alongside client onboarding, Sandra excels in preparing financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns. She is also a certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner, which enables her to handle payroll processing and T4 preparation. Sandra's approach to problem-solving involves attentive listening, identifying pain points, and collaborating with clients to find effective solutions. Terry first joined Curtis-Villar as a co-op student in January 2020. Terry went on to complete an additional 2 co-op terms and a summer semester with Curtis-Villar. He transitioned to full-time employment in May 2022 after graduating with a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University in 2022. In his current role, he primarily focuses on preparation of year-end financial statements and personal tax returns.
What he enjoys most about working at Curtis-Villar is the close-knit relationships he has developed with his colleagues. He believes that Curtis-Villar stands out in the industry due to its personalized service to clients. Victoria's journey at Curtis-Villar began in 2010 when she joined the team as an Administrative Assistant while completing her undergraduate degree in Marketing. Her exposure to the accounting field shifted her perspective and she went on to pursue accounting courses, while also transitioning into an accounting role within Curtis-Villar. Having worked in each department and role in the firm, she uses that knowledge in her current role. Today, Victoria meets with current and prospective clients, addressing their business issues and matching them with the appropriate team.
Victoria excels in implementing suitable accounting systems, providing tax solutions, and offering growth and restructuring strategies.
She approaches problem-solving as a puzzle, seeking the missing piece to bring solutions together. Victoria actively contributes to the firm's mission and values by alleviating the burden of accounting for clients and fostering a supportive relationship. Education:
Victoria is a graduate of Dalhousie University’s Bachelor of Commerce program. She joined the team at Curtis-Villar in 2010 and successfully completed her CA exams in 2013.
When it comes to technology solutions for our clients, Victoria is the individual to reach out to. She is up-to-date on the current accounting solutions available as well as industry specific applications that are compatible with each accounting platform. Victoria works closely with our clients as they implement their accounting systems, as well as when they transition from one platform to another.
She assists clients in making decisions as to which programs are being for their specific needs and in identifying when clients have outgrown their current accounting systems.
Victoria’s community involvement has ranged from volunteering with Junior Achievement Guelph-Wellington Economics for Success program and acting as the treasurer and then president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.
